Symbiont -S is a sulphur solubilizing bacterium, that solubilizes the available soil sulphur through a process of oxidation and makes it available to plants for easy absorption.
Benefits:
Symbiont-S through the process of biological oxidation supplies sulphur nutrient to plants and thus helps in correcting the sulphur nutrient deficiency in plants. It helps during the process of biological oxidation of sulphur in the reclamation of high alkaline uncultivable soil to cultivable land by bringing down the alkaline range soil pH to neutral range. It is an ‘organic certified’ product.
Mode of Action:
Symbiont-S, through the process of biological oxidation, converts the non-available sulphur and sulphur related compounds to the available form of sulphur and its salts which the plants can easily absorb and utilize. During this biological oxidation process, by producing some organic acids, it also brings down the high soil pH (alkanol soil) to the neutral range and thus Symbiont-S helps in the reclamation of uncultivable alkaline and saline soil for crop cultivation.
Crops Recommended: All Crops.
Dosage:
Liquid – 1.25 lit /acre and 3.0 lit / ha
Shelf life: One year.
Soil Reclamation: Symbiont-S (Thiobacillus thiooxidans) at 3 lit/ha is to be applied along with elemental sulphur / Gypsum (200 kgs to 500 kgs). Through the process of oxidation Symbiont-S not only facilitate availability of sulphur and its salts as nutrients to the plants but also produces organic acid which helps to reduce the soil with high pH to the optimal level leading to soil reclamation.
Application:
Seed treatment: 10 gm or ml/kg of seeds.
Seedling treatment: 100 gm or ml in 10 litres of water.
Drip irrigation: 5 gm or ml per liter of water or 3 kg or 3 lit in 500 liters of water/ha.
Soil application: 3 kg or 3 lit/ha in 500 kgs with organic fertilizer.
Applied before planting and at the mid-stage of plants.
